This is when I'm glad to live in the UK, despite being surrounded by water only a few coastal areas are affected by flash floods.

Good, glad to hear it. Before I was a police officer, I worked for Lowe's. I got sent to Pascagoula for two weeks post Katrina, and Lake Charles for two weeks, post Rita. Fucking unreal. |

I left Metro New Orleans after Katrina(I had to stay and so did husband because we were both on call)...sent kids away though... and went to family in catahoula (Lafayette area)....then two days before Rita, we left and went to st Augustine beach. then we went to visit a realtive in Jacksonville and tammy came through there....upon returning to st augustine beach, WILMA came through just south of there. so, you see....those things followed us in 2005!!!! |
