Glacial Outburst Flood Damages Rishi Ganga Dam in India
A glacial lake outburst flood struck Chamoli district in Uttarakhand, India, on February 7, 2020, triggering a flash flood in the Dhauliganga. The Rishi Ganga Hydro Power Project dam sustained heavy damage. Around 100 to 150 casualties were reported.
