Flooding and Landslide Hit Guangdong
Since April 18, much of Guangdong Province has had incessant heavy rain, with severe rainstorms in many areas. The flooding has been described as once-in-a-century, with a river burst and a landslide burying houses in Guangdong. On April 21, a breach occurred at Mingzhu Wharf in Qingyuan, Guangdong. Military personnel reached the scene within two hours and began rescue operations.
