Flash Flooding Hits Byron Bay After 250 mm of Rain

On March 30, residents in Byron Bay woke to find the town inundated by floodwaters after torrential rain in northern New South Wales.

Businesses and properties went underwater in the early hours of Wednesday morning after more than 250 mm of rain fell in 24 hours. The rainfall was expected to cause more damage across northern New South Wales.
