On June 13, 2023, sudden heavy rains hit many places in Guangdong, China. In Dongguan, rainfall exceeded 100 millimeters in one hour, causing waterlogging on some urban road sections.

Passers-by waded across flooded roads with water up to their waists. Many cars could not move forward because of the flooding, and some were floating on the water.
