More than 70 people are feared dead after a catastrophic series of tornadoes ripped through Kentucky and other states late Friday and early Saturday, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said. Twelve fatalities connected to the severe weather have been confirmed so far, according to an NBC News tally. Along with the death of a 3-year-old in Graves County, Kentucky, there were six dead in Illinois, four in Tennessee, and one fatality in Arkansas, at a nursing home. “This is the most devastating, most deadly tornado event in Kentucky’s history,” Beshear said in a news conference Saturday afternoon. More than 181 guardsmen from the National Guard were activated early in the morning, a number that has gone up as requests for help continue to come in. The governor estimates that the "death toll from this event is north of 70 Kentuckians and may end of exceeding 100 before the day is done," he said. |

The big tornado stopped just two counties from us. I was up all night in case I needed to wrangle the kids.

The video where the tornado was only illuminated by the flashes of lighting was REALLY scary! How could you tell if it was headed your direction or not? Creepy!

if you cannot see the tornado moving a specific direction then its either headed directly towards you or away from you

why is it almost impossible to find videos or pictures of tornado victims?
