Cyclone Biparjoy Reaches Gujarat and Southern Pakistan
Cyclone Biparjoy entered the Indian landmass near Jakhau port in Gujarat and southern Pakistan on Thursday evening, June 15, after traveling in the Arabian Sea for 10 days. Authorities said the storm had weakened but was still hitting Gujarat with winds of 108 kilometers per hour. Before landfall, Biparjoy had maximum sustained winds of up to 145 kilometers per hour while about 280 kilometers from Jakhau port in western India's Gujarat state.
