Anchorage After the March 17, 1964 Earthquake

Anchorage, Alaska, after the March 17, 1964 earthquake, described as the third most intense earthquake in recorded history.

The quake also generated a tsunami reported to have reached 220 feet in one bay and affected about 20 countries. Much of Valdez was lost into the ocean.
