Re: Shanghai Airlines Mechanic Sucked Into The Planes Engine
I work at an engine shop (overhauls, maintenance, ...) Been working on engines that had a birdstrike, and it smells really hard. I heard that they actualy ask for "volunteers" to disassemble such engines. But i guess that not much of him really entered the engine, because the bodyparts you see are stuck behind the fan ogv's, and to enter the engine you have to aim for the booster (the small vanes under his remains) |

I always thought that was fake, but the way the body moves in the slow-mo on the second video convinced me otherwise. Anyway, what the original post reminds ME of is that animal grinder on the Death Videos forum. |

Re: Shanghai Airlines Mechanic Sucked Into The Planes Engine
they can have that engine out in about 6 hours.. have the fan housing and all apart in another 2.. one shift will get thte thing off the plane and apart, the next will clean, inspect, make repairs, and set that engine aside as a spare. theres no fucking way in hell they'd just blow that shit out and run the engine without disassembly and inspection.. look up what happens when the fan disintegrates on youtube.. it's a mess. look up what the bird carcass testing does as well. |
