This afternoon, a domestically produced light general aviation small aircraft, model B-12PP, crashed into Beijing's tallest building - the China Zun.

On June 26, 2026, Dongshi Shuangyue General Aviation B-12PP aircraft, Captain Liu Junhua (member) conducting a solo flight in the local airspace, took off from Shifosi Airport at 17:30, and at 17:40 prepared to return for landing. While joining the westbound route for Runway 18, the aircraft did not join the approach and departure normally, deviated from the local airspace and continued flying on a constant heading of 270 degrees. The local ADS-B monitoring detected the aircraft near the East Fifth Ring Road, with no subsequent signal. Follow-up attempts to contact approach control and the air force were unable to reach the aircraft.

The Sunward SA60L Aurora light aircraft hit the skyscraper at the 65th floor. The pilot died.
