Piper PA-28-161 N8149R Crash Near Lindenhurst, NY
A Piper PA-28-161, registration N8149R, went down near Lindenhurst, New York, on March 5, 2023. The aircraft was destroyed. There were three people aboard. One was killed and two were seriously injured. The crash followed an in-flight fire caused by a compromised oil pressure line fitting.
