Mid-Air Plane Collision in Wassenaar Causes Plane to Land on Beach
In Wassenaar, a dramatic yet skillfully handled incident unfolded when a small sports airplane was forced to make an emergency landing on the beach. The aircraft, one of two flying along the coast pulling advertising banners for the CDA (Christian Democratic Appeal), collided with the other CDA advertisement plane under unclear circumstances. The collision, which occurred around 4:15 pm, resulted in damage to the left wing of one of the planes. This aircraft, in a quick response to the situation, released its advertising banner over the sea and proceeded to execute an emergency landing on the beach. Fortunately, the landing was completed smoothly and without any injuries to those on board or on the ground. The other aircraft involved in the collision, as well as a third plane advertising for the SP (Socialist Party), were able to return safely to their home base at Rotterdam-The Hague Airport. Following the incident, the police cordoned off a section of the beach, and it is anticipated that the Dutch Safety Board (Onderzoeksraad voor de Veiligheid) will conduct an investigation into the cause of the collision.         |

What the hell did I just watch? Were they hooked up for a few seconds? Looked like the camera plane was having some engine trouble. Great post!   |

Far right at the beginning of the vid. Was that another aircraft? Was this some sort of aerial trick being attempted?
