Light Aircraft Crashed Onto Busy Road During Training Session - Two Dead
https://asn.flightsafety.org/wikibase/463151 A light aircraft crashed Tuesday on a busy avenue in the city of La Libertad, in the province of Santa Elena, on Ecuador's west coast, killing two people. The deceased were identified as 32-year-old Diana E.R.S. and cadet Juan A.P.R. Diana, nicknamed 'the Supersonic Woman', was the first Ecuadorian woman to pilot a plane capable of breaking the sound barrier. The aircraft, a Diamond DA20-C1 Eclipse, belonged to the Superior Military Aviation School of Ecuador, and was of the type used to train pilots. It had taken off from Salinas Air Base, and the circumstances behind the crash are being investigated. A motorcyclist on the ground was injured when he was struck by a piece of the plane. It is unclear how extensive the motorcyclist's injuries are. |

inches from crashing on top of that car.  The mayor's office agreed to declare two days of cantonal mourning and to fly the flag at half-mast. |

Damn. Their position indicates that they fractured their spines... I used to go to a chiropractor in Ecuador and even he couldn't snap them back. Pretty girl though. I investigated a bit and found out that she was one of the first females in 2009 who were able to join to the aerial academy. She dedicated her life to fly high (pun). She got a big funeral. Not every person in a car accident gets those. Status talks. |

On most days, it isn’t easy to kill yourself in a DA20. There are exceptions to every rule of course.
