Late on Wednesday a helicopter crashed on a farm in the municipality of Itamaraju. The aircraft belonged to Mr Ronaldo Carletto. In the accident the pilot had his legs torn off and burned to death. Residents of the area heard a loud explosion around 7pm and then saw a Flash in the middle of the Woods.
a search was conducted on the same day, but the wreckage and the pilot's body were found yesterday morning.
Before exploding, the propeller of the aircraft touched the ground and dragged for about 70 meters, according to the Coordinator of the technical and Police Department criminal expert Manuel Garrido.
According to police, there is still no information on the origin and destination of the French manufactured aircraft. Tests will be conducted to identify the victim.
