Helicopter Crash Kills Four People in Rosario, Brazil
On Sunday afternoon, a tragic incident unfolded involving a Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter with the registration prefix PP-WRV, carrying four individuals. The helicopter crashed into dense vegetation near the municipality of Rosario, located 75 kilometers from the capital city of São Luís, Brazil. Regrettably, the accident proved fatal, with no survivors among the occupants. The victims included two doctors, a police officer, and the pilot. In response to the incident, a team from the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention (Cenipa) of the Aeronautics was dispatched from São Luís to the crash site. Their primary objectives are to determine the causes of the accident and facilitate the recovery of the victims' remains. The Public Security Department of Maranhão (SSP-MA) confirmed the identities of the victims as Rodrigo Capobiango Braga and Jonas Eloi da Luz, who were physicians, as well as José Kleber Luz Araújo and the civil police officer Alfredo Oliveira Barbosa Neto, who was piloting the helicopter at the time of the tragic event. Cenipa will lead the investigation into the accident to uncover the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident. |
