Flight From Chicago to Ohio Crashes Into A House
On November 18, 2014, an accident occurred when an Aero Commander 500B airplane, registered as N30MB, crashed into a residence near Chicago Midway Airport during an attempt to return for landing. The aircraft, operated by Central Airlines, Inc. as a cargo charter flight, was bound for Ohio State University Airport in Columbus, Ohio. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot reported left engine trouble and sought to return to the airport. However, the aircraft went out of control on final approach and crashed into a house near runway 31C, leading to the pilot's fatal injury and injuries to two residents. The National Transportation Safety Board's investigation concluded that the crash was caused by the pilot's failure to maintain airspeed, resulting in an aerodynamic stall/spin

saw it on the local news last nite...Midway was THE airport that served chicago, until jets took over in the early '60s. they required more room, so O'Hare was expanded(farther out west of the city; more open space). Midway still handles some large commercial aircraft though
