Yes, depending on how much is damaged, and how much crap went through the core. Stuff that can be reused: blades that aren't damaged, the core, frame, and rotors, combustion section, accessories, and gearbox, any component that wasn't damaged. The engine would be completely torn down, and basically the same inspection and repair as an overhaul. Plus it would depend on the condition of the engine before the strike, and how many hours it has on it. All this should be ok |

I actually did some research the other day about. There are multiple types of strikes that effect the engine is different ways to some not having any effect at all. It was quite an interesting read. Appreciate you offering up some info as well. I’m trying to not just ask for help but helping myself a bit more. |
