2nd box has been found

A retired US pilot said that he knew 1 pilot who saved his plane from such a steep nosedive; he had some air acrobatics experiences.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers and crew, their families and all those affected by this accident. Boeing will continue to support our airline customer during this difficult time. In addition, a Boeing technical team is supporting the NTSB and the Civil Aviation Administration of China who will lead the investigation.”

Re: Eastern Airlines MU5735 Crashes In China

Claim: Image shows China Eastern Airlines plane in a nosedive

A Chinese Boeing 737-800 commercial passenger jet plunged almost 30,000 feet into a mountain jungle on March 21, exploding in a ball of flame in the province of Guangxi.

No survivors have been found among the 132 passengers and crew members aboard China Eastern Flight MU5735. It was China's first major airline crash since 2010, according to The New York Times.

A March 22 Facebook post captioned “#MU5735” purports to show an image of the plane barreling toward the ground without its tail.

“As seen on close up footage of the crash, vertical stabilizer – tail – of aircraft had been detached (sic),” text on the image reads.

The post accumulated more than 4,000 reactions and 1,600 shares in two days.

The tail section of the plane consists of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, including the fin, rudder and elevators, which help to control the plane in flight.

But the image in the claim does not show the China Eastern crash. Instead it's a frame from a documentary's animated simulation of a 1997 plane crash. The investigation into the cause of Flight MU5735's crash is continuing.

Re: Eastern Airlines MU5735 Crashes In China

I can see Alchemistmuffin is back obsessing but anyway.

One of the videos has a man crying in the airport, from what it was said, he has three of his sons on that plane.

One video is also a recreation of the plane. With the speed they were falling, you'd hope they were unconscious when they fell.
Unless there was a rapid decompression, they would all sadly be very much alive and conscious.

737's have had issues in the past, with similar results.

"During the 1990s, a series of issues affecting the rudder of Boeing 737 passenger aircraft resulted in multiple incidents. In two separate accidents, pilots lost control of their aircraft due to a sudden and unexpected rudder movement, and the resulting crashes killed everyone on board, 157 people in total. Similar rudder issues led to a temporary loss of control on at least one other Boeing 737 flight before the problem was ultimately identified.

The National Transportation Safety Board determined that the incidents were the result of a design flaw that could result in an uncommanded movement of the aircraft's rudder.

The issues were resolved after the Federal Aviation Administration ordered modifications for all Boeing 737 aircraft in service. In 2016, former NTSB investigator John Cox stated that time has proven the NTSB correct in its findings because no additional rudder-reversal incidents have occurred since Boeing's redesign."
