Re: Dallas Airshow B-17 Flying Fortress Collides With Another Plane
Judging by how much damage where the pilots were, nobody was aware of anything after the initial impact, both cockpits immediately destroyed.

Re: Dallas Airshow B-17 Flying Fortress Collides With Another Plane
There seems to be a body above the outer starboard wing, same clothing colour as the crewman hanging on in the cockpit.

Re: Dallas Airshow B-17 Flying Fortress Collides With Another Plane
These were Veterans, I Get The Video is Here on This Site But Your Statement is Sad And Disappointing and Disrespectful Considering Veterans Day Was Just Last Friday. Im Sure If Your Uncle Was In One Of Those Aircraft You'd Feel Differently. You should be Upset Not Clowning" that Veterans Died In This Airshow from Just No Preparedness and Bad Planning. But To Get Your Jokes On is Just Wrong. I served 20 Years For Real and What I Just Saw Made Me Upset And Angry But Yea I Guess I Defended Your Right To Be That Way Even If It Sucks :(

Re: Dallas Airshow B-17 Flying Fortress Collides With Another Plane
As BL aka Juan Browne concluded in his analysis: having fast and slow airplanes on the same altitude, and adding some manouvers, is just wrong right from the start. The air boss should never have ordered deviations from the flight plans. |

Re: Dallas Airshow B-17 Flying Fortress Collides With Another Plane
YOu have clearly no understanding of distrib. with fat tail risks. I hope you never get a pilot permit. Maybe airshows with too much spectacle are just too much pushing the limits. I saw that october pilot death list: most +50y, the 41 years old a rooky. First flight, direct death. You want excitement as pilot, go fly in UA airspace with a jet plane. I'm sure you will be not admitted. Or perhaps you are the king of pilot that bails out of a plane with his parachute. I'll tell you: to become an astronaut, and next flight commander, you better have F16 or alike flights xp, never crashing down, but with 2 total system of engine failures over the sea in a white out, and not bailing out. What would you do? I tell the stories later, so you can reflect on your inexp. to real disaster cases, where you in pilot seat, over icecold sea, where you succomb in less than 10 minutes. You are still with me? |
