Re: Cockpit Camera Captures Russian Student's Plane Crash
only if the runway layout allows for it; pilots must train to land in 180 degree winds at that point the control surfaces/pilot input had no effect on the airplane's attitude, because it was no longer flying, it was in stall...unless you are in a fighter jet with ridiculous thrust, the only choice when in a stall is to wait while the aircraft falls, until it finally regains enough airspeed to fly again. but when the ground is that close, then the shows over |

Re: Cockpit Camera Captures Russian Student's Plane Crash
First post, hope I'm doing this right (and hope it's not a repost). Looks to me like it's an accident during flight training. Pilot aborts a landing and attempts a go around, and for some reason veers to the left toward the trees. I have no idea why the instructor would pull power at the :32 second mark, it made it almost impossible to clear the trees. An impossibly steep turn to the left completes the stall, and boom. |

Re: Cockpit Camera Captures Russian Student's Plane Crash
yea that's weird...he reduces power for a sec and never takes control of the plane like he should have...that he would let the student attempt to make the go around after bombing the landing attempt is just retarded.

Re: Cockpit Camera Captures Russian Student's Plane Crash
http://rt.com/news/202467-plane-crash-russia-camera/ A few weeks ago I saw this article about a plane crash near Vladimir, Russia that shows the footage from the point of view of the pilots. I just found a high def version of the same crash, but not censored. The pilot died (right seat), but the student survived (as of a weeks ago). I don't know if young guy is still alive at this time, though. |
