Cessna 172R Runway Impact Near Romeoville, IL
A single-engine Cessna 172R, N674MA, operated by Lewis University, was substantially damaged near Romeoville, IL, on May 23, 2023, after impacting the runway during landing. The student pilot was not injured. The accident was caused by the student pilot's failure to attain or maintain a proper landing flare and failure to perform a go-around, which resulted in the runway impact.  ·
