Re: 4 Killed when Beech C90 King Air Crashed and Explodes
For doctor Camila Patricia Vanegas Galvis, 27 years old, an accident prevented her from fulfilling the dreams that she built for three years with the help of her romantic partner and her loved ones. However, although sadness knocked on the door of this Cucuteña family, in their minds there are only memories of love, anecdotes full of joy and words full of motivation. Despite the pain and with a broken heart, the woman's family remembers her as a charming being and passionate about her profession. “She had an infinite love for animals, we had started a project that until now was small: rescuing and adopting dogs,” said Andrés Torres, Camila's romantic partner. Together they had six pets in their care and their greatest wish was to get a large, country house so that everyone could take advantage of a comfortable space. Last December, the dream of forming a shelter was strengthened after an unfortunate loss. “He was heartbroken by the death of his pet named 'Cinnamon'. At the end of last year, Camila's parents took the dog to Medellín to reunite with her but she couldn't make the trip. As a result of that, we began to be more dedicated to the issue of adoption,” said Torres. Camila's loved ones were waiting in Medellín for the delivery of the young woman's body, in order to be able to transport it to Cúcuta, where they will give her a Christian burial. They remember her as a woman passionate about her profession, with a heart willing to help. “She was impeccable, with a professional ethic, passionate and with a desire that the conditions for doctors and patients could be improved,” added the romantic couple. Camila had graduated as a general practitioner in 2022, from the University of Santander (UDES), and had worked in several medical centers in Cúcuta. With effort, even though he tried to study at a public university, he had to finance his career to fulfill his dreams. Vanegas Galvis lived in Rionegro (Antioquia) since October of last year. Now, the family is completely devastated. Camila was the only one close to them, since her brother had traveled a few years ago to work abroad. Camila Vanegas had started as a doctor at the Sky Ambulance company last Friday. Full of desire and love for her profession, she hoped to exploit her skills, with the hope of working and having more time to return to Cúcuta and share with her family. “I had the illusion of being able to have more time, since the work would be 15 days in the field and 15 days off, time in which I planned to be in Cúcuta and use it to start studying and prepare for residency. Her most desired professional dream was to become an anesthesiologist,” said her partner. Between astonishment, sadness and pain, the family of Camila Patricia Vanegas Galvis received the most tragic news, which ended up damaging what was intended to be a wonderful year full of surprises. The young woman's dreams were extinguished on Thursday morning, after suffering a tragic accident in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Osos (Antioquia) when she was traveling in a small plane to Montería, to pick up a patient and then return to Medellín. |

Re: 4 Killed when Beech C90 King Air Crashed and Explodes
I used to Skydive from a King Air. It was an awesome plane to jump from. It got to altitude quickly. I always enjoyed being last out of the plane. Roy, the pilot, would turn the plane downward and fly along side while I was in free fall. I’d look over and wave as we headed down. Those were wonderful days of the past. |
