The Yosemite Firefall
The Yosemite Firefall is a famous natural phenomenon occurring for about 10 minutes each February when the setting sun illuminates Yosemite National Park's Horsetail Fall on El Capitan, making the water glow brilliant orange and red like molten lava. Historically, it was a man-made event where burning embers were pushed off Glacier Point. Adequate snowpack and daytime warmth to melt snow for water flow, plus a completely clear western sky so sunlight hits the narrow crevice at the precise angle. Best viewed from the El Capitan Picnic Area and designated turnouts along Northside Drive in Yosemite Valley. From 1872 until January 1968, hotel operators at Glacier Point intentionally built massive wood fires and pushed glowing red-hot embers 3,000 feet down the cliff into Yosemite Valley. The National Park Service halted the practice in 1968 because it caused excessive crowd congestion and was not aligned with preserving the park's natural environment. |

Re: The Yosemite Firefall
Yes it is? You cannot be serious...? But ok explain to me then: How does the sunset hit the water and turn it into frigging lava, When the sun is setting BEHIND the waterfall. |

Re: The Yosemite Firefall
Did you not read my comment? THE VIDEO is ai. If the sunset hits the waterfall, it would glow irl. But in this video, the sun is setting BEHIND the waterfall. Not ON it. How the fuck does the water glow?? And why does it change from the top and pour down, glowing like burning lava, into the shadows when the sun isn't even ON IT? The voices are completely out of place and the people filming are just copy-paste AI bullshit. There's so many things wrong with this video. Because it's AI, stupid |

Re: The Yosemite Firefall
No it doesn't. It just needs basic knowledge on how light works. Sunlight cannot light up things that are behind other things. That's why shadows exists. |
