Windows on the World

Windows on the World was a complex of venues at the top floors (106th and 107th) of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan that included a restaurant, Windows on the World, a smaller restaurant called Wild Blue, and a bar called The Greatest Bar on Earth, as well as rooms for private functions. Developed by restaurateur Joe Baum and designed initially by Warren Platner, Windows on the World occupied 50,000 square feet (4,600 m²) of space in the North Tower. The restaurants operated from April 1976 until 2001 when they were destroyed in the September 11 attacks.

It's hard to believe it is coming up on the ten year anniversary of that fateful day.

Re: Windows on the World

I put that picture of the falling man on there (Pic 7) because it is believed by authorities and loved ones that this is Jonathan Briley, a 43-year-old employee of the Windows on the World restaurant.

I saw a documentary that explained how they went about determining his identity. It was quite interesting.

My dad took me there in '98. It's surreal seeing those pictures.
