I worked with a bungee company for a couple of years. I watched a guy think he was better than we were and didn’t need cords. I watched him almost die.

He finally came around from being unconscious and finally got himself up on a rock down river. His ear was hanging by his jaw. Jumping into water from great heights is nothing to fuck around with.

I heard a paramedic in the UK(where I'm from) referring to kids jumping off the roof of my local pier as Tombstoners which I thought was apt, he said people end up crippled or dead more than you would think.

I got goaded into jumping off a cliff, had to jump far enough to clear some rocks, it was close to 150ft at a guess, into the sea in Greece in my early 20s(20yrs ago) by a psychotic Greek midget called Jimas all I will say is I had what felt like about 2 seconds to regret my life choices.

A lot goes through your head for such a short period of time

Normally I'd say no but it was the fact he called me English pussy about 20x I was left with the weight of a whole nation on my shoulders.
