White Moose in Two Sightings, One in Eastern Canada About 2006
Two white moose were photographed beside a two-lane highway in eastern Canada around mid-2006. The roadside photographs later circulated in an email chain that placed the sighting in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, while other versions named northern Ontario, Newfoundland and New Brunswick. A separate winter sighting shows one white moose browsing willow and aspen in deep snow behind a barbed-wire fence, with two darker moose nearby. The animals can accurately be described as white. Some white moose in northern Ontario carry a recessive white-coat gene without being albinos.

bozotc, nearly all mammals see in color, most with better rendering than humans.
