Re: The Truth About Pit Bulls.
Great thread, and I agree, pit bulls are not at all what the media and breed-specific legislation acolytes have made them out to be. I own an Akita Inu and a German Shepherd, and both of those breeds are statistically more dangerous than pit bulls (the actual, purebred American Pit Bull Terrier, not pit-bull mixes). But have they bitten anybody? NO, and neither have the pit bulls that a few friends own. |

Re: The Truth About Pit Bulls.
I have seen Pit-Bulls that have rifts pushed in the center of their foreheads get more and more aggressive when they're in their adolescents. I had to help my friend take his to the vet to be put down as an adult, the veterinarian explained that the pit-bull, as a purebred sometimes develop pre-frontal ridges and as they grow it cuts into the frontal lobe of a dogs skull which handles a dogs calm/aggression. And i know that's true I PERSONALLY WATCHED IT GO FROM A SWEET DOCILE PUPPY TO AN INSANE ADULT. & My pit-bulls bite force is much-much more than an average dog, I buy her the large beef knuckle bones that you put in soup and she will have cracked it open in 2 or 3 minutes and already be licking the marrow out of it. I don't agree pit bulls are bad animals but this thread is bullshit, I want to see some sources. Hes got pictures on here but it doesn't mean any of its true. I love my pit.
