A large dead titan triggerfish was photographed with fishing line still in its mouth. The photographs were circulating by January 2009. The fish has an olive-yellow body, a dark band across the cheek, pinkish lips, orange-yellow fins and a tall first dorsal spine. Close views show several large, yellowish front teeth that resemble human incisors.

Titan triggerfish can grow to about 75 centimeters and are the largest members of the triggerfish family. Their chisel-like teeth are used to crush sea urchins, coral, crabs and mollusks. The species is also known to bite divers while guarding its nest.

It's a type of triggerfish. They have to have big strong teeth because they eat corals.

Reminds me of that fish from Finding Nemo, "Oh my gosh! Nemo is swimming out to sea!" lmao

[güttsfükk]

aren't they tiger fish as opposed to trigger fish?

[Soar]

Yep, those pics are of a triggerfish.

Ha ha ha!!! What a gormless looking sod! He's got joke teeth in!

[australianoutlaw]

these triggerfish are sometimes extremely agressive and often attack divers.

[Koshka]

Are they Parrot fish or related species? Parrot fishes apparently have teeth that can reduce rock to sand...wouldn't want a bite from one of those things!
