When a civilisation is subsistence based and undeveloped, principals and morals are survival based. Its just a different reality altogether, lets give them a hand for at least having a system where commerce keeps peace. I see nothing unreasonable here, considering what we are talking about. The girl will be fine. She will make kids and be a mom, and will quickly adapt to being a wife. I just hope she doesnt have to be violated into submission. |

Arranged marriages are probably more common throughout history than love marriages. Further, the success rate among arranged marriages is higher than in love marriages. The only thing I take issue with is female circumcision. That is a sadistic practice and IS NOT OK.

I agree with NoelPuppet in regards to the female circumcision because not only being a sadistic practice there also has been quite a number of cases where infection from the procedure resulted in death. Just imagine all the cases resulting in death that wasn't reported!  |
