I remember the Top Gear special when they went through Syria, wonder how its changed?

I cant imagine any western person going in there once the regime has been removed.

Too bad they could not have doctored up some napalm or thermite bombs that can be made easy enough and dropped them on the tanks. Is it possible that tanks are just that vulnerable in urban environments? Or are they losing so many tanks b/c they're retarded? Tank warfare is one of those things that I have zero point zero understanding of.

Tanks are not superweapons, especially in urban enviroments they can be destroyed pretty easily with the right tactics. T-72 is already almost obsolete and when it's manned by idiots without infanty support it's only a matter of time someone smacks the shit out of it.

Some good examples of tanks in urban combat would be the battle of stalingrad and battle of grozny in the first war in chechnya.

Oh, almost forgot: MBTs (tanks) cannot raise their main gun too high as you can see from this video. So basically you just need to be 2 - 3 floors above it and close enough. It cant do a damn thing about it
