Swans and Their Babies

One of the most beautiful birds in the world, swans form monogamous pair bonds that last for many years, and in some cases for their entire life. The size of the clutch is usually 4 to 7 eggs. The cygnets learn to fly when their flight feathers have fully grown. This happens at about four and a half months of age. The birds reach maturity at about 2-3 years of age. By this time, their plumage should be completely white.

Re: Swans and Their Babies

they are beautiful, but i wouldn't recommend running up there trying to grab one of the fluffy babies. Those wings can break leg bones.

Re: Swans and Their Babies

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS POST!!! I call myself SwanSong for two reasons. 1) I feel like an ugly duckling 2) "Swan song" is a metaphorical phrase for a final gesture, effort, or performance given just before death or retirement

Aaww, being that cute should be illegal! I wonder what the heck was H.C. Andersen thinking while writing the 'Ugly Duckling'. Those babies are far from being ugly
