Re: St Louis Arch

Elevators that are as small as the smallest part of the arch... so theyre like 2ftx2ft wide and they have you go four or so at a time so its like five pounds of shit in a ten pound bag. Not to mention they are old and on an old as dirt pulley cable system that swings with the motion of the building.
Seriously? I don't think you actually rode in them. they are small, granted, but not that small. Roomy enough if with friends. A bit crowded with strangers.

Re: St Louis Arch

I live in St.Louis and the elevators are the worst part. They go up on angled system and there is no air circulation at all. It does beat the stairs though ;). It's been a couple years but people have gotten stuck up top and in the elevators due to power outages as well as mechanical failure. It is an amazing structure though.

Re: St Louis Arch

I live in St. Louis. If you ever take a trip here make sure you stop at the history and arts museum. Very good info. It is located under the arch.

Re: St Louis Arch

The picture of the man sweeping the arch makes my stomach turn... I can look at just about anything else on this website except stuff like that *shudder*
