not sure if this is correct thread but here are pics of the construction of the st louis arch.
So interesting how they built huge structures back then with those cranes...too me anyway !

Why do the elevators suck? What's wrong with them? Too small? Uncomfortable?

There's a teleportation device on the side of it. The instructions are in English, Spanish and Klingon.

Elevators that are as small as the smallest part of the arch... so theyre like 2ftx2ft wide and they have you go four or so at a time so its like five pounds of shit in a ten pound bag. Not to mention they are old and on an old as dirt pulley cable system that swings with the motion of the building.
