Re: Spider Behind the Clock
Hmmm... if I were you I would start out with a chilean rose or in latin grammastola rosea. The are pretty big as well and can be kept quite easely. Goliath is very difficult to maintain because it needs a large container with moist dirt. Moist will atract fungus and the spider can become sick. I wanted one as well, but the are way to hard to keep imo. Think it over good and get good information from other forums. Damn.. my english is even worse now than it ever was lol |

Re: Spider Behind the Clock
i agree with everyone else who said they would cry and not enter their house again. I'd have the whole house cleaned by an exterminator if that happened to me. like I'm better about bugs now, I can get rid of them myself....as long as they arent large enough to kill me. btw, i dont want to visit australia anymore and I will not be going to saudi arabia anytime soon. *shudders* nothing has grossed me out on here yet, but this makes me not want to sleep.

Re: Spider Behind the Clock
Definitely a Huntsman spider , they're cool. We a huge Huntsman walk down the hall inot the lounge one day while we were watching TV. Looked alot like one of those alien walker ships out of War of the Worlds or Starwars..(well except for the eight legs thing, oh and the fact that it was only about 4cms off the floor!) . Theyre reasonbly common here in Aus. They don't produce a web they just stroll around looking to pounce on the next meal. Completely harmless unless cornered..
