That's always my immediate goal when talking to people about them. :D I feel like the more we know about something, the less reason we have to fear it. Spiders are just misunderstood. :)

It's alright, there's a bunch of species like that, just depends on where it's from. :)

I have a couple of spiders bought from Petco but you really almost never want to buy from local pet shops.. they don't care for their animals properly at all and tend to pass on bad information. I generally buy from reptile expos (only established, professional breeders sell there so you get well taken care of spiders and can come away with some amazing deals) or I buy from my local breeder friend. You can also buy online, though. :)
