Snagged new copies of the original printing with the original illustrations on amazon for less than 15 bucks. The illustrations are amazing.

Those images dominated much of my youth back in the early 80's. Between the Stephen Gammell illustrations in these books and Bernie Wrightson's work in "Cycle of the Werewolf", I had ulcers by the age of twelve. I'll bet I still have my copies of these books in a box somewhere. Going to have to go dig around for them now. Thanks for the post and the reminder of my childhood. |
