I live nearby there (about 30-40 minute drive)...Haven't been there in a while.. Piss on the ground and it sizzles, the trees that were able to grow are burned from the inside out.. fire erupting from the ground in some areas (small flames no taller than about a foot, but still cool). Go there in winter and the ground is warm..awesome place.. Last I heard was still 2 people living there, fighting the government to stay. |

So there's absolutely no way this fire can be put out? What happens if it starts spreading further and begins to affect other nearby towns and cities?

Man, id love to visit such a place. I remember the story from silent hill but i didnt know how bad it actually was. One would think you could just collapse thr tunnels and smother it. Thanks for the post, really interesting  |
