anything say, under 4-feet in bird design, will go thru the turbines rather easily, its wwhen you start getting to the multiple seagulls/humans going thru that fucks you up ....
And I'd say you're pretty wrong. Crows will wreck an engine pretty good. We use some wicked noise makers on our flightline to ***** birds. I know some places in England use ******* to keep errant birds away. You really don't want a jet engine ingesting ANYTHING at all.

wasn't it a 'bird strike' that caused the much hyped hudson river crash landing? and i think they were saying that was just one turkey buzzard....a big ass bird for sure but i'm thinkin it's shopped.
