Not at all. The first map represents the average IQ of various modern countries. The second one represents the average IQ of the INDIGENOUS POPULATION of those areas. The Americas were inhabited by American Indians, and Australia were in habited by bushmen, explaining the lower IQ.

Re: Race and Intelligence

You need to show the sources, otherwise its just a coloured world map with different shades.

Lynn (2006) doesn't mean anything to me... Is there a better journal reference?

I've been working in Africa for some time... man people there are plain simple . I don't want to call them stupid... but ..... what can I tell you.. if it was up to them they will be still in the stone age.... I don't think that the lack of education is a factor or a reason for them being like that.
I came to the conclusion that they just haven't got the inside spark that makes us want to learn new interesting stuff , solve mysteries and so on.
My observations about the Africans is that they like to do their work slow, not trouble themselves with anything besides what to eat.... so therefore it is kinda in their nature to lazy physically and mentally.
Don't get me wrong .. I met some of the most sincere and wonderful people there. People not burdened by the greed for money and power. People who don't judge you upon what you have or wear... but other than that.. they are just simple.

All three of these books have faced heavy criticism, especially pertaining to their poorly selected sample groups and unsupported conclusions. They are far from being accepted as objective sources on the issue.

Also, just blindly stating "Race differences in intelligence is the reason Africa is so poor (not the other way around.)" is a hugely fallacious claim to be making, and one which you don't back up at all other than saying "china is poor and also has a high iq". You don't provide any evidence for your claim. The map data only suggests a correlation between iq and poverty levels, but anyone with even a basic understanding of scientific research could tell you that correlation is not the same thing as causation.
There are many outside factors that can effect countries' economies and infrastructure, such as natural disasters, wars, geographical location, imperialism, foreign trade, etc. China being relatively poor (at the moment) and having a high IQ level does not stand up as proof to your theory.
