I also wondered if they were staged to exemplify what the stages of aquiring and then living/dieing of aids might be like. He didn't look any less healthy in the last few pics than in the first few. Or in the first shots of him shooting up, did he allready have aids? Despite what most people think, it can take a long time to die once infected with the HIV virus. People can live years and decades with HIV before it becomes full blow AIDS. Judging my the mans hairline, it doesn't seem like any more than a full year could have passed since the first shot was taken. (He was balding/very thin in the first and doesn't have any much less hair in the last so... EDIT: his head is also tilted to the right in his casket, I don't think that's ever done for any reason, so this would suggest that it's an artists creation. A good one I might add, the photo's, regardless to what they are, are very good. |

I'm glad you posted that link, the whole set of 48 make a really really good compilation. I do agree when seen all enlarged and in better detail you can see his health going downhill as the photos go on. These are some great photographs, I wonder over how long were they taken?

mental fortitude can do alot of things to help someone if you think your being defeated or are defeated then it speeds up the process thats why in cancer societies like st.judes and many others they try to make the afflicted as happy as possible so they keep their mental strength as well as physical

Indeed that's also a part of why things like the make a wish foundation exist....It could be argued that attitude alone could actually reverse some of this stuff....I know there have been studies that show your immune system is stronger if you hang out with friends on a regular basis as opposed to being a hermit
