Bill, keep on posting those vids you talk about. I for one am very interested in seeing them. I don't want the edited 'news' versions, I need to see how it really was. It still affects me to this day. And we should know and see how bad it really was for those people stuck in the towers.

i understand bill, its ur field of expertise here on DR. U post all this 9/11 shit and people like it. i for one don't. its old, its played its course, u see it over and over until its like ur nonchalant about the images. im sure uv seen a counselor or a psychologist because it seems to me like u still need alot of help . u need to start a new hobby or something productive. none of the shit ur posting is new, its all old. we lived through that shit, we experienced it first hand whether in NY or a different city or through news reports or video footage. it hit home, but its over... research and find so u can post all the 9/11 shit u want, its on u though and ur well being |

Well, let me ask you something, champ: who are you to determine what type of hobby someone needs? I mean, look at it like this, it's been almost 70 years since the end of the Holocaust, and yet there are still videos and movies being made about it. Someone who indulges in researching this aspect of history certainly isn't wasting his/her time, nor is he in need of psychological help, provided it does not have a detrimental affect on his daily life. Now, 9-1-1 was only 10 years ago, and it has left behind emotional scars that will last for generations. I do not understand how someone can be hindering himself, by virtue of the fact he's looking up related information and sharing it with others, be it a professional or hobbyist. Believe it or not, there are still hordes of researchers out there trying to find out who really killed JFK, and they're living very contented lives in the process. Are they wasting their time? Hobbies are a past time that are enjoyed usually by the person to whom this activity belongs. There's nothing in any definition of this word that implies it has to appease the masses, or even win the acceptance of others. The real weirdos out there are the ones who have no such endeavor in their lives, and who spend their time criticizing those who are fortunate enough to find a constructive past time. |

Look man, I personally saw at least 30 people leap out of the North Tower that day. You ask anyone that was there what was the most horrible thing they saw, and most will say people leaping to a CERTAIN death. Can you imagine how desperate these people where ? Jumping from 3 or 4 stories is one thing, you might be paralized, you might break several bones, but you might survive. This was CERTAIN death, and these people knew it. And to add insult to injury, they did not even have a corpse left for burial. As far as a shrink, that is funny. Been there, done that, did not help. I have seen and done shit that would get most people put in a rubber room for life. This helps, it is unorthidoxed I know, but it helps. So, that being said, they will all be in one thread from now on. You do not want to see them , you don't have to. At the same time, if you don't want to see them, don't open the thread and bitch about it. |
