Wouldn't it now be concidered a crime scene and the cops were picking things up? If it was any other murder they would have taped it off and sent the crime scene investigaters!!! Thats just bullcrap, but I do wonder why he just didn't put his hands behind his back, he must have been on something if it took at least 6 cops to try to put his hands behind his back and they still couldn't do it until the poor guy died. Thank God it was recorded.

I watched the whole thing. Thomas, if anything, was fucking with the cops as well. He was told numerous times to put his feet out and he kept pulling them back. None of that had to happen if Thomas had shown the cops the respect that he wanted to be shown to himself. It's a two way street.

In the end though, the cops lost their cool and their professionalism and went too far, no question, but Thomas had a unique talent for pissing these cops off, and the cops let their emotions overtake them. Both parties fucked up big time. It was lose/ lose, but Thomas lost the most. No one won here. A tragedy all around.

We don't know the whole story. Without our police we would be living in a third world country.... where people are beheaded for fun and drugs are sold to our 5 year old children. How is what they did any different from what an American soldier would do in Afghanistan? There is such a bias and it doesn't help anyone to be against the people who risk their lives everyday to protect your ass. Stop being so ignorant. Hadn't heard about this so I just did some reading on it.

For all those commenting that he was on something, the toxicology reports showed that he had no drugs or alcohol in his system. I'd be struggling as well if I had several huge guys sat on me and couldn't breathe and my ribs were breaking. How the hell are you supposed to put your other hand behind your back when you have that kind of weight on top of you? The moment that one cop said "Now see my fists? They are getting ready to fuck you up." I would be wanting to back away from him too. The cunt was just spoiling for a fight and Kelly Thomas happened to be the victim that night.

The guy was mentally ill and seems to have no history of violence. This video is fucking sickening, seeing a grown man screaming for help from his dad while the police beat the shit out of him and repeatedly taser him

And for all those who have commented that he was yelling out so he could obviously breathe, his cause of death was compression asphxia, ya know it's kinda impossible to breathe when you have several well built men on top of you crushing your chest. He also had brain injuries, fractured ribs, severe facial injuries and broken bones in his face, the poor guy was choking on his own blood and they still kept beating him. Fucking disgusting. None of that was necessary force, it was police brutality.

I side with cops on this one. At no time did it seem like the cops were trying to kill him. He was killed because he didnt submit and was obviously on something. It was far from a Rodney King beat-down. Its trajic, but this idiot is far from blameless.
