Have you had any experience with a burst? I suppose good old doppler takes most of the fun outta it these days.

Yep, heard of tornado alley.....in fact, that's given me some ideas for future threads. Thanks.
We get them often here. I have "been in one" Thought it was a tornado..and there was one that had touched down but a microburst was goin on too where I was. It is equally as scary as a twister. No fun indeed.

Microbursts (sometimes called windshear) caused the crashes of Delta 191 in 1985 and Eastern 66, that crash was sometime in the 1970s.
