That's just the weirdest behavior for such a small bear I've ever seen. Even that it comes over the gate like that. It would really explain a lot if it was terrified into going into the house like that, maybe even already a bit hurt.

Do you guys hear a dog barking? A bigger dog, I think outside?

Check out the beginning of the video...There are 3 small dogs (looks like Dachshunds). Two dogs moved toward the gate and the bear came over the gate to grab it. The guy lunged for his dog and the bear wound up on top of him. I think it was attempting to catch a dog instead of fighting the man. Note there are only 2 dog dogs seen in the frame once the man stands up. One ran to the left of the man and the other was to the man's right. The bear appears to have been successful obtaining the 3rd dog as a meal...Or, at least that is how the situation appeared to me...

I was paying too much attention to the sound. As soon as I shut it off the other two dogs appeared.

Rely on me always, to tech right the fuck out on one single thing and never look away.

I don't know nlack bear or any bear behaviour really but I think maybe he didn't claw the guy as it was running for its life and trying to escape something larger a d scarier or a pack of wild dogs maybe?

That bear could have made him look like he was run over by a lawn mower. Not sure my little dogs would have been worth weeks/months of rehab and lost work. Assuming the bear hadn't just dragged him off and eaten him.
