This is scary to watch that huge fire at Sony was horrendous Do these people not realise they're making it worse for themselves in the long run I live in a quiet area so I doubt this will affect me but I can't begin to imagine how scared some people must be in the areas affected

I agree that the issues behind this need addressing, but I don't think you can consider this to be protesting anymore. I argued against it last night, but it probably is time to send in the army now.

And this is what you get when you have years of unbridled immigration, under funding, and people's unheeded concerns. Will lessons be learnt from this?

This needs to stop. Not just the rioting but the stories flying around about what is causing the riots.

This video is of a young girl who was masked and hooded, ready to go out and cause trouble. Yes the police may have been a little over the top, but when all chaos is going on around you and you have to protect the general public who are hell bent on trying to injure you and this masked person is weilding weapons and threatening you, you are gonna do what you can to disarm them. If she didnt wanna get beat, then she should have not gone out equipped to cause havoc. If it had been my daughter i would have kicked her arse as well!!

The riots are simply todays youths jumping on the social networking sites, riling each other up to copy what went down in Tottenham on Saturday. A peaceful demonstration about the shooting of Mark Duggan, a local drug dealer who was riding in a cab carrying a gun. who opened fire on the police before he was shot, turned violent after a few miscreants decided it wasnt enough to protest. It died down after a few hours and was ended by morning. No other riots happened until sunday night when the youths using BBM, BeBo, FB & twitter decided that the events of the night before looked 'cool' and would be 'wicked' to recreate.

This is NOT what caused the riots.... this is a video from sunday night.. the rioting started on Saturday.
People need facts not fiction.

This video was taken in Hackney at around 11.30. The girls in questions was hooded, masked and carrying a kosh and just before the video started rolling, she was smashing a shop window and a bus shelter with 2 other females (who managed to run away)

I know there is no real way to check facts in these instances but posting these rumours are only goin to incite more violence.

You only have to google about the riots to see the forums and people trying to incite each other to meet up and riot because 'A 16 yr old Girl was beaten by the police"

It is also irresponsible of Alex Higgins to even insinuate that this is the reason for the riots. My 11 yr old even pointed out that if this video was from saturday night how come they were rioting on friday!!

I just heard they aren't using Twitter because it's public, but instead are using private blackberry messaging. So the police cannot predict their next move.
