Re: Little Girl Takes Control of Six Pitbulls
You know what's sad. The English Bulldog is deemed unrecoverable. Sure, they're ugly. But it's sad, to me at least, we can't save them. And I have Boston Terriers, who are the long-legged, snorting-and-farting brethren. Shame... well, just shame. |

Re: Little Girl Takes Control of Six Pitbulls
I hope she does allow them to eat separately and doesn't do this all of the time. If someone doesn't feel good, is in pain, or is especially hungry that day - that can spark a fight. What are you going to do to break up a brawl that big? And what happens if your kid falls into the middle of it? The obedience training she's done is awesome - but they aren't robots and there's no such thing as a "Bomb-proof"(never breaks training) dog. Maybe it's just me, but I've always been a "Hope for the best - prepare for the worst" kinda person when it comes to dogs of all shapes and sizes. |

Re: Little Girl Takes Control of Six Pitbulls
I agree with the first half of your sentence. I only half-agree with the second half: She may have verbal control of the situation, but the moment one of those dogs decided to either lose the plot, or a scrap broke out, she is not big enough to handle herself in that situation. There's a reason I teach parents never to let their little kids give food to more than one dog at a time, even supervised... |

Re: Little Girl Takes Control of Six Pitbulls
I agree with the first half of your sentence, but certain breeds of dog are inherently more capable of dealing damage because of their breed. I only half-agree with the second half: She may have verbal control of the situation, but the moment one of those dogs decided to either lose the plot, or a scrap broke out, she is not big enough to handle herself in that situation.
