Re: Jesus Camp Documentary
All religions indoctrinate. It's the way it works. The only difference here is that these kids might verbally condemn some people for being different; Muslim extremist kids will strap on some explosives and go blow the shit out of people.

Re: Jesus Camp Documentary
I actually have a fascination with religion. I read the entire Bible when I was about 18 and I have attended Church services where they speak in tongues etc (not recently but I wouldn't rule out going again some day.) Going to Church to me is kinda like going to a zoo and watching a cage full of monkeys, it can be quite interesting to see what the fuckers get up to, you just have to stay alert so you don't get any faeces (feces for you Americans) flung at you. |

Re: Jesus Camp Documentary
What I found funny about some of the connyption fits was when someone got too close to breaking a gold necklace or a string of pearls, etc....the Holy Ghostee got totally sane....still.....Wouldnt want God to get in the way of good fachion, ya know. I am catholic, but have attended churches like that, and admittedly, some of there activities scared the hell out of me. I definitely was not fond of snake handling and I found the entire performance much too noisy. The "HEALINGS" were always quite entertaining, too! |

Re: Jesus Camp Documentary
Like a great man said, "I’m an atheist, and in this country of the United States–which is fascist now in my opinion, is organized religion teaming up with corporations to control the government–in the United States, there’s some prevailing feeling out there that because you don’t believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or “God,” this being that you can never see, that exists in your mind, that somehow you don’t have value." |
