Re: Holden Commodore W427
Yeah, the maloo is sweet but the only problem is that you have to put about 300kg in the back, just in front of the diff to be able to use the power effectively. If you don't then the rear end will keep swinging out when you hammer the throttle. They look good though!

Re: Holden Commodore W427
I'm glad we don't have many roundabouts here in the States. I don't know about other regions in my country but goddamn people in California drive like they're entitled to be behind the fucking wheel. The few roundabouts I've run across here I've had people almost run into me because they have no idea about lane discipline. It takes damn near every ounce of will I have not to ram people in my Nissan Titan. I know you guys don't have them over there, the U.S. is the only market it's manufactured and sold to. It's a full size pick up truck with a 5.6 liter V-8, I have a 2006 and so it only has 305 hp and 379 lb. ft. of torque.

Re: Holden Commodore W427
yer im into my 4x4's , you guys get some pretty sick trucks over there, like the titan and tundra etc, they'd be awesome work utes, plenty of room with plenty of balls. Here theres a comprimise of small cab and tray with power or vice versa, unless you spend 80grand and get a dodge ram. Fucking love the 6.6ltr duramax diesels. |

Re: Holden Commodore W427
Dodge fucked up their full size trucks this model year by making the rear suspension independent instead of live axle. It's great for handling but poor for utility. Nissan was in talks with Chrysler about them making the next generation Titan and Nissan would help Chrysler with their small car program. That went down the tubes because Chrysler is a poor bed partner, Carlos Ghosn (head of Nissan/Renault) is not a stupid man and Nissan really had nothing to gain by that alliance. Fiat's recent partnership is different. They're far from stupid as well and always engineer a good exit strategy. They used to be be partnered with GM and had a lucrative severance package written into the partnership. GM decided Fiat was a losing enterprise and dumped them in... 2003 or 2002 or so... they had to pay out a hefty sum to get out of that. Fiat has since turned around and become quite a profitable company. With their partnership with Chrysler that stand to gain established factories, workforce, and dealership network. I just wish Peugeot and Citroen would come back to the U.S., they make some sweet looking cars. |
