They can be very dangerous, capable of delivering a medically significant bite. They really put my girlfriend on edge. We used to have a hamster that could push it's cage open and a few times it escaped and it always made its way to the bedroom. At least three times the hamster woke my girlfriend at night by crawling on her feet in bed! She went nuts! She suffered a full-scale panic that shook her even hours later! I love my centipedes. I've kept literally hundreds of them and even had the largest specimen even seen by the world's foremost expert. They are awesome creatures... Here's the big'un and yes, this is my arm: |
