Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

Medical history has a dark and gruesome past, but without experiments like this we would not have the artificial heart. Not saying i condone or disagree with it thats just the way it is.

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

Artificial heart set aside there is no way any doctor has made an artificial brain!!! Cool video, funny video...but I hate to burst your bubble....if they could actually do this...they'd be trying it with people too. There is no way to actually do this, a dog's anatomy is very same to ours, very easy to just hook up some tubes and just just fuck around this is 110% FAKE...

Maybe for short hours...nothing permanent....I still think you all are hilarious!!! So sad about a dog, but you can watch the DEATH of humans all day and that's all well and good.

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

here is what I found on the scientist and the research.

Sergey Sergeyevich Bryukhonenko (Russian: Сергей Сергеевич Брюхоненко, 1890–1960) was a Soviet scientist during the Stalinist era. Bryukhonenko's research was vital to the development of open-heart procedures in Russia. He was one of the leaders of the Research Institute of Experimental Surgery, where Professor A. A. Vishnevsky performed the first Soviet open-heart operation in 1957.

Bryukhonenko is primarily remembered for his development of the autojektor, a primitive heart and lung machine. The device was used with mixed results in a series of experiments with canines during the late 1930s, which can be seen in the film Experiments in the Revival of Organisms. While some today speculate that the film is a re-staging of the procedures, the experiments themselves were well documented[citation needed], and resulted in Bryukhonenko being posthumously awarded the prestigious Lenin Prize.

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

i believe the reason science advanced alot more in the early part of the 20th century is because people where less likly to question what someone was doing. Like this video, people now question it and say how horrible it is, but if it wasnt for "sick bastards" like the guy who done this... what would our world still be like now?

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

To me, it seems as though the dog head was successfully kept alive, but since dogs have a lot of the same emotions as humans, the dog was so miserable that he or she didn't act like they normally do.

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

THERE IS ALOT OF CONTREVERSY SURROUNDING THIS SCIENTIST AND HIS LESS THAN MORAL EXPERIMENTS ON ANIMALS. HE ALSO SUPPOSEDLY RE-ANIMATED DEAD RODENTS AND CATS. THE LAST X-FILE MOVIE WAS INSPIRED BY THESE STORIES....BELIEVE IT!

Re: Dog Head Kept Alive Artificially

Does this not make you wonder if someone should do it to an convict so they could "say" how it feels
